We came here for my friend's birthday and chinese new year eve celebration dinner. It's a pretty cute and unique spanish tapas place located in Central Square. I've to say that the beauty of Boston is about finding these little quaint restaurants that are tucked in its various neighborhoods. My favorite here is the scallops. One of the best I've ever had. As you can see above, it's seared perfectly, gives you a nice little crisp biting into it but also juicy and chewy. Love it.

Chocolate Bento Box |
So I said I was going to write about Nobu London. I think it has a much simpler interior compared to the one in New York. I had the Nobu bento box for lunch. There are various menus you can choose from. They have the 27 pounds prix fixe menu, sushi lunch menu, a la carte menu but if you're new to Nobu, I highly recommend the bento box. It is like the lunch tasting menu for Nobu. Its 33 pounds and you get all the food that Nobu is famous for. Definitely worth the money.

Rockshrimp Tempura with Ponzu
Black Cod with Miso
Oshitashi
Vegetable Spicy Garlic with Rice

Miso Soup
Sounds delicious doesn't it. Then I ordered the chocolate bento box. I don't think there's much talking needed here. The picture pretty much speaks for itself. It was heavenly. If you love dark chocolate and green tea, like myself, this is priceless.

Hatfield's. Named one of the Best 10 New Restaurants in America by Bon Appetit 2010. I went to this restaurant knowing nothing about it because it was a friend's choice to dine there. It was a pleasant surprise though. I walked in to a really fine and spacious interior. The place is classy but yet not very restricted. A lot of the good restaurants I've been to gives you kind of a restricted feeling like there is a certain manner you have to maintain. This restaurant has the appropriate noise level where you can just sit in, relax, and hold a decent conversation with your friends without the party next to you overhearing it. I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Hatfield's also has an open concept kitchen, it was interesting to see what the chefs are doing, how the waiters interact with them.
Of course, the food here is great. I didn't get the prix fixe menu because I am a little picky with my food so I ended up getting just an entree. Probably the two things that stood out the most to me were the butter and my steamed chicken entree. The butter was very appetizing, I don't exactly know what's in it but I could taste some garlic, salt, black pepper and some herbs. I ended up getting more bread which is something I don't do very often because I don't want to overfill myself with carbs. The chicken had such a great texture, it is cooked just right and to be honest, it doesn't really taste like chicken. I was expecting the chicken to be a little on a dry side as how most restaurants would make it. I was a little skeptical ordering this because I usually don't like how the chicken is prepared in most restaurants but I decided to go with it as it was a recommended dish. True enough, this was moist, soft and chewy. Definitely cooked to my liking.
Overall, if you were to ask me to rate this restaurant, I would probably give it 7.5/10. Just because the quality of the food does match the price you pay for it. Great ambience, classy interior. Pretty much sums up a great dining experience. However, I still prefer other restaurants like Nobu, The Ivy, Joel Robuchon etc. but that's just personal preference.
